1. After removing the cable from the battery get back in the car and turn on the lights &/or depress the brake. Then reconnect. 2. Detacth both battery cables from the battery and touch them together. Then reconnect them to their proper terminals. The reason for doing this is to discharge the capacitors.

DPF & Engine Lights. I got my second DPF light this morning; but with an engine yellow light as well. I burned it off, drove for 30-40 minutes at 3000rpm (4th gear out of 6 at 70 - racy but noisy LOL) and the DPF light went out. However - the engine light is NOT out and even after stopping the car all day and then re-starting to drive home6 Answers. Try disconnecting the battery for half an hour. That will clear the codes. I too own a CX7 and the DPF warning light is flashing. i've had it inspected by my local mazda dealer and we have been told the timing chain is stretched and out of tolerance.been dealing with a 08 sterling with a ISC dpf issue, this is the eng that has no 7th inj. replaced dpf 3 months ago all 3 temp sensors and pressure sensor. the driver re-gens every 2 days. its commanded by blinking regen light. this truck came in with amber check eng light on and dpf light blinking. temp dpf light is disabled scanned codes 2 active dont have code numbers with me but high . 494 159 221 400 152 267 36 199
